A very positive update from Alex Norris, who is managing to combine riding three horses with A level revision.
“We have already had some great successes this season. Treefers was third at the Open Intermediate under 21 at Aldon with a great double clear. He then went on to do one better by coming second at Weston Park Open Intermediate Under 21 (see pic), which was a great start to our quest for Juniors. It’s always a challenge riding at Weston as you have to pass the XC on the way to the Dressage, but Treefers managed to contain his excitement and behaved beautifully. I was also thrilled to get inside the time on the complex XC. Our next outing with Treefers is Withington, lets hope for some rain so the ground is softer.
My other horses have been busy too, we have recently acquired a lovely Irish mare called CHS Lexi, who we hope to bring out at 90/100 in May. There is a picutre here of her at Juniors training with Caroline Moore, and at her first competition, combined training. She behaved very sensibly, it’s a pleasure to have such a well behaved horse! I have also got the ride on DJ Sonata who belongs to Rafa Marins Equestrian. She has had a few Pony Club outings and we are cementing our partnership. I am looking forward to a busy summer competing my three horse after my A levels are over.
As always a huge thank you to Wow and my Wow saddle fitter Nicola Nicholls for fitting all my saddles to my horses.
