We make a range of girths to compliment your WOW saddle. Some of the designs are unique to us and are protected by Design Right. The colours of the girth can be made to coordinate with your saddle if it is of two complimentary colours.
We now make two ranges of girths Padded and Soft. The padded girths are more traditional butt leather girth with a leather covered foam pad. The New soft girths are made from soft panel hide leather. This means that the girth is very thin and flexible and is especial good if your horse gets rubbed around the elbow because the girth groove is really forward. Soft girths also contour very well to the shape of the horse and have a less intrusive appearance.
Please note that whilst girth lengths are stated in inches, girths are actually metric. Which means that a 32” girth is 32 x 25mm = 800mm and this will measure 31.5”.
The “H” Girth™ has proved to be a brilliant innovation for saddle stability without having to over tighten the girth. Pressure dispersal over the sternum rather than the pectoral muscles promotes better movement in front. Used in conjunction with a Fore Girth a saddle can be held back in place on horses that would normally always push saddles forward up the neck.
With very thin but broad straps the WOW H Girth is designed for horses with a very forward girth groove where the girth creeps into the elbow. The soft straps act like a second skin rolling with the skin rather than acting against it.

The recently introduced Soft Straight Girth has proved to be a really good girth for a sensitive horse that tends to rub easily.
The girth is very thin and flexible, especially in the region of the elbow. The leather curls and moves with the elbow and skin rather than rubbing it.
Like all our girths we do not use elastic as there is more than enough flexibility in the saddle already!

The sternum plate is removeable and designed so will not impede the fore limbs on narrow chested horses, the elegance sternum plate lifts the girth away from the sternum of the horse so creating a gap either side of the sternum allowing complete freedom of the ascending pectoral muscles which affect fore limb motion and stride length.

SPLIT SOFT STRAIGHT GIRTH
A soft straight girth split either side of the sternum plate to allow straighter pull from a back girth strap descending at a slight angle rather than a “broken” angle that a normal straight girth would give. It is used where a H girth would be “too much” but where the girth straps would otherwise create an uneven pull on a normal straight girth. It will create a bigger triangle on the side of the horse which focuses forces and increases the stability of the “pull” but with less pressure as you do not have an over tightened strap, due to the triangle the girth strap creates being bigger.

So this girth can be used in all disciplines Dressage, Cross Country and Show Jumping.

This breastplate is designed primarily for horses with a herring gut, that tend to slide the girth backwards and therefore the saddle follows. By making the main part of the breastplate out of rope the breastplate can be fitted snug to the horse’s chest without fear of rubbing as the girth rolls and moves with the pectoral muscles. It does not restrict unlike other breastplates. By keeping the girth in place, the saddle stays still. Tends to work best on these type of horses with Military Girthing.
It must be fitted properly so we require two measurements, one from the front of the girth to the base of the wind pipe, two from the base of the wind pipe to the top of the wither 6 – 8 inches 150 – 200mm in front of the saddle. the straps give ample adjustment for deviation.
